Donald Lahti

Donald A. Lahti, 84, passed away on December 2, 2023, in Gilbert, AZ, after a courageous 30-year battle with prostate cancer. Born in Brule, WI, he attended Northwestern High School and UMD earning a master’s degree in education. He served in the Air National Guard and was an Industrial Arts teacher first in Eveleth, MN, and then Cloquet until his retirement. In addition, he was an experienced carpenter and built his own home that he and his family enjoyed until they relocated to Arizona. In retirement, Don enjoyed woodworking, hunting, bowling, and baseball darts. He worked with Habitat for Humanity and was actively involved with the Golden Kiwanis group. Don is preceded in death by his parents, August and Hilda Lahti, and his twin brother Ronald (Gloria). He is survived by his loving wife Judy, son Gregg (Pam), daughter Janelle (Travis) Rogers, sister Doris (Walter) Murray, 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 5 nieces and nephews.
