Friday, March 12, 2021 The Nebraska Arts Council has just learned the news of Cloyd Clarks passing. Judge Clark was the author of many years of successful grants from our agency to help provide financial support to Buffalo Commons, which we consider one of Nebraskas stellar annual events. Many of our staff members have traveled from eastern Nebraska to attend Buffalo Commons in addition to enjoying other cultural activities in McCook. Id like to share the remarks our deputy director, Mike Markey, shared with me today when he learned the news: Judge Clark was a character; a Nebraska original. One of the reasons I love traveling the state. He was a gracious host when my wife and I attended the Storytelling Festival. And, he was a great champion for Buffalo Commons and the McCook community. He leaves a great legacy. ....
