Talk About Clyde: Kehres competes in Jr. Miss North America

Rae Ann Kehres, 14, who is Jr. Miss Ohio North America, placed as third runner up in competition for the title of Jr. Miss America recently held in Orlando, Florida.
To maintain her title of Jr. Miss Ohio North America, Kehres must make monthly appearances and perform community service.
Some of the reasons she enjoys participating in pageants, including wearing beautiful dresses, is to meet other girls from across the country.
“It also gives me confidence and helps me improve my public speaking,” she said.
The most difficult part may be the long road trips taken to competitions, she said, noting her two younger brothers went along. Next week she will compete in her fifth competition, The Nationals, in Nashville,Tennessee. In August she will pass her crown to the new Jr. Miss Ohio North America. ....
