Back in the day when Tesla only had the Model S to show for, it was only logical for other companies to attempt to satisfy popular demand for more body styles. Now, asking for a Tesla Model S Convertible seems like a big whim, one that should be appropriately satisfied by professionals.

With everything going on in the automotive industry any given year, one could easily be forgiven for forgetting some of the rarer models that have enjoyed their five minutes of glory at one point in time. Like the Maybach 57S Coupe created back in 2010 by German coachbuilder Xenatec, for example.

Because of the tamer styling, the Xenatec Maybach 57S Coupe won’t be confused with the aggressively-styled Exelero; it’s also a lot less known. Still, we’re not going to write off this conversion project just yet, especially since we’ve recently stumbled upon an example that’s getting a new lease of life.
