Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The thermometer at Juneau's Airport is flirting with a below zero temperature. Meteorologist Code Moore in the Juneau Forecast Office tells us the record for the date is minus 2 degrees set in 1951. It stood at 1 above zero at 6:45 a.m. It was at minus 7 at the forecast office on Back Loop Road. The last time it fell below zero at the Juneau Airport which is the official reporting station was on January 7, 2009, when it dropped to 9 below.
