It’s like a Netflix series without Jerry Seinfeld, Cars and Coffee, Rockford debuted it’s fifth season today in the RPS 205 District office parking lot.
Cars & Coffee - Rockford is held on the first Saturday of the month from April to October. It is held in the Rockford Public School Administrative Parking Lot (500 spots/120 off street) and is the largest automotive event in Rockford, Illinois. As always, Cars & Coffee Rockford is free to participate and free to spectate. <br/><br/>It was started in 2019 and is a non-profit of Katie's Cup Coffee. In 2023 they averaged 519 people and 253 cars per/car show (biggest #342 cars & 675 people). It is pet friendly, bike friendly, handicap accessible and kid friendly activities. <br/><br/>Participants attend from Bloomington, IL, the Chicago suburbs, Madison, Milwaukee area. The attractions include a Monster Truck, Rockford Ice-hogs Mascot and a Hot Wheels display. The Police, Fire, County, and State municipality participate monthly. <br/><br/>We support Rock House Kids, Rock River Valley Pantry, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Noah’s Ark, Winnebago County Sheriff's Teddy Bear Drive, Katie's Cup, and the Illinois Make A Wish Foundation. Car Groups attend from Illinois and Wisconsin, with 17 different car groups/clubs.
Cars and Coffee is held on the first Saturday of the month from April to October from 9am-noon. Cars & Coffee Rockford is held in RPS 205 Administrative building parking lot, across the street from Katie’s Cup at 502 Seventh Street, Rockford. There is no cost to participate or spectate. All makes and models are welcome to participate! We are pet friendly and bikes are welcome. <br/><br/>On May 7, 2022, Rockford Ice Hogs Hammy and is giving away a family pack of 4 tickets. <br/><br/>In 2021, the monthly car shows had over 1,300 cars and 3,000 people at the 7 car shows. People came as far away as Madison, Bloomington and the Chicago suburbs. <br/><br/>In 2022, the Rockford Police share a K9 group and the Fire Department brings their large trucks. The RPS205 parking lots have over 500 parking spots and there is over 100 off street parking around the parking lots. Joe Locke is the DJ and there are games and prizes. Katie’s Cup sells coffee and donuts.
