Nearly one year ago, New York City secured a major victory for affordable fossil fuel-free buildings — now it’s time for Gov. Hochul and legislative leaders to bring the benefits statewide. Thanks to legislation signed into law last December, all new buildings in the city will be built without fossil fuel hookups, starting in 2024 for buildings under seven stories.
