French Pastry Shop Now Open in Rosslyn

Eclairons, a new French pastry shop, opened in the former Bean Good space in Rosslyn earlier this month. The restaurant, at 1737 Wilson Blvd in the Colonial Village Shopping Center, serves coffee and baked goods. New Thai Restaurant to Replace Rosslyn's Rolls by U

A new Thai restaurant is set to open in the Colonial Village Shopping Center near Rosslyn. "Thai Select" is currently redecorating the space formerly occupied by sushi restaurant Rolls By U and is hoping to open next month, staff told ARLnow today (Thursday). Lincolnton City Council denies rezoning request to allow a second tattoo studio


At their most recent meeting, councilmembers denied, three to one, a request to approve a rezoning request from Lance Herman to rezone an approximately 900 square foot spot at 1818 North Aspen Street within the Colonial Village Shopping Center from Planned Business to Highway Commercial Conditional District in order to allow a tattoo studio. This space was formerly occupied by a cell phone store.
The applicant spoke at the meeting and provided councilmembers with detailed plans of the studio which would be called, “Ink Matters,” which he called a “working class” tattoo parlor.
“Some of the benefits of tattoos are that they can be very therapeutic for a lot of people,” he said. “They can also improvement immune system, reduce stress levels and help build self-esteem. There’s a lot of at-home tattoo parlors in Lincolnton and a lot of people getting very cheap tattoos in non-sterile environments.”  ....
