St. Theresa Middle School announces Students of the Year

Giana Acosta was selected as the fifth grade Student of the Year, and Audrey Lanoux was selected as the eighth grade Student of the Year at St. Theresa Middle School.
Acosta has maintained a 4.0 GPA, is part of the St. Theresa Middle cheer squad, a member of Junior Catholic Daughters of America No. 1955, and has participated in 4H. She is involved in many service and volunteer projects in the school and community such as recycling, baking cookies for the local fire department, and donating to the less fortunate.
Through Wiggles & Wags, she has had an opportunity to contribute her own money and blankets for the animals. She has been honored on her school s principal s list, as well as received the highest Scholastic Awards each semester at St. Theresa Middle. Acosta was selected for an interview to compete at the Diocesan level. On Jan. 13, Giana was named the 5th Grade Student of the Year for the Diocese of Baton Rouge and will move on to compete at the r ....
