Credit LONG ROAD DISTILLERS In an effort to encourage workers to apply for a job, four restaurants in West Michigan announced Thursday a decision to raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour at each establishment. Officials from Long Road Distillers, The Mitten Brewing Co, Two Scotts Barbecue and The People’s Cider say the new wage goes into effect immediately. The live music industry and entertainment venues are one of the industries to take a giant hit  from the pandemic, and any help to keep them running is necessary. Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) announced on Wednesday that over 100 live music and entertainment venues across the state have received a $3.4 million grant.
