THE Commission on Elections (Comelec) has issued an order suspending the proclamation of at least 241 candidates if they win in the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) on Monday, October 30.
The Commission on Elections now has sole jurisdiction over the hearing of petitions for accreditation and registration of political parties, party-list groups as well as citizens arm organizations.
"A careful review of the Motions for Reconsideration reveals that they failed to raise new matters that would warrant the reversal of the Assailed Resolution," the decision reads, adding that the motions "merely contain rehash of the Petitioners' assertions and arguments."
