The Janssen/Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine will be offered by Grand Forks Public Health and Altru at Grand Forks community clinics on Saturday, April 10th from 2:50 to 6:00 p.m. and Wednesday, April 14th from 4:10 to 5:10 p.m.
The Janssen vaccine is one of three COVID-19 vaccines available in the United States that has received emergency use authorization from the U.S. Food & Drug Administration. The vaccination is approved for people ages 18 and older.
Community Clinic Incident Commander, Haley Bruhn, sees this as a great opportunity for members of the community who might be hesitant about vaccinations. “Many people see this as a ‘one and done’ vaccine, which attracts people who may have been holding back because of fear of needles. It’s also appealing to people concerned about time restraints, who might not be able to receive a two-dose series vaccination,” ....
