Personal hygiene products, trash bags and other necessities are among the top needs at a Mt. Pleasant non-profit that will benefit from a local radio station's annual donation drive.

Hunters are encouraged to drop off some of the different meats they've bagged to Smith and Sons Meat Processing, Inc. as well as mention for it to be donated to CCN.

Volunteers were available at Ric’s Food Center in Mt. Pleasant from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday Nov. 17. At the end of the day representatives from The Care Store, Community Compassion Network, REAP Food Pantry, St. Vincent dePaul Food Pantry, and the CCOF Food Pantry will come pick up the donations.

Part of being a cooperative is being committed to and concerned about the community, Christensen said, and when a rash of recent thefts became too much to ignore, GreenTree Board member Angie Felton posted a heartfelt plea to stop the spike in shoplifting.
