COVID-19 vaccine may be offered to some Utah teachers next week Utah teachers and staff are being offered the COVID-19 vaccine as soon as next week. Nicholas Rupp with the Salt Lake County Health Department told 2News that 7,000 to 8,000 doses of the vaccine are expected to hit the Beehive State in the middle of January. Those vaccines will be distributed by Community Nursing Services to school staff in Salt Lake County, he said. CNS will work with school districts and private, parochial, and charter schools to distribute those doses. The doses will not cover all staff of schools in Salt Lake County, but CNS will continue to administer doses as more become available, Rupp said. ....
