The Columbus City Council Residential Districting Commission has cancelled a North Side Regional Meeting scheduled for tonight so as not to conflict with a public forum for the four finalists to become Columbus chief of police. “As our community continues to reimagine public safety and discuss the needs of our neighbors, it is important that we don’t make people choose between two important meetings. Postponing this week’s CRDC meeting just makes sense,” Malik Moore, chair of the Council Residential Districting Commission, said in a written statement. A virtual public forum meeting for the police chief finalists begins at 6 p.m. and can be seen on livestream via the city's website and Facebook pages or via CCTV.
