SOUTHBURY â The Board of Selectmen, meeting Thursday, May 20, approved a resolution during a public hearing for Ascentria Care Alliance regarding its ownership of the Lutheran Home. Attorney Gail E. McTaggart, Secor, Cassidy, & McPartland, explained the requirement to hold such a hearing to benefit investors and bond holders of a $35 million bond. Ms. McTaggart noted that there is no obligation to the town; the federal regulations for bonding require a public hearing in towns where the properties are located.
