Paper: Policy reforms urgently needed to miti
<p>Team of researchers propose significant reforms in U.S. health care and antipoverty policies to mitigate the disparities in perinatal mental health diagnoses and treatment that place women of color at greater risk of mortality and morbidity. Their recommendations include broader funding for perinatal psychiatry access programs, use of community-based services such as birth centers and doulas, reinstating the 2021 federal child tax credit and implementing a universal basic income program.</p>
