  Staples High School provides a variety of traditions and special days for seniors that are celebrated each school year, but Motorcade stands out above the rest.   Motorcade, characterized by the drive from Compo Beach to the school stands for a football game, is known to be a favorite for the seniors. Motorcade is usually held in the fall to watch the homecoming football game. Chanting in the back of trucks and on top of jeeps during Motorcade is a beloved tradition at Staples High School. But, of course, during this year of COVID-19, our senior class was the first to be denied a motorcade.   But that only motivated our grade to get organized.  We weren’t going to let something we had been looking forward to for three years slip away. So, we put together a makeshift motorcade before the boys’ lacrosse season ended.  It may not have been up to par with the motorcades of the past, but it was a motorcade nonetheless.
