Ben. you went out and talked to these people including this woman part of the insurrection or at least allegedly. talk about this sort of confluence of january 6th big lie conspiracy and anti masking and anti-vax. yeah, you know, in the days after the 6th, these people had to regroup. they had to hide for a minute, frankly, because the fbi was on their tail. their faces were on social media posted by the fbi and they needed a different message because they realize this is a failing one. these people were on video storming the capitol, right? so a lot of them went away and they came back in these local spaces. this was the thing pushed by lots of different people in the currently trump spear, right? even though mike flynn or steve bannon might not be close now, they re saying the same thing. everyone on the trump right is saying go win local office. you know, go as steve bannon said, go village by village. ....

Really a convergence of a lot of grievances, separate but intertwined with the election. so, there are other defendants that had gone to the rally, were carrying signs about their opposition to vaccines and mass, lock downs. they joined together with the idea that their anger at the handling of the pandemic was related to what they saw as a stolen election. it was this really broad area of grievances at the capitol. i think doctor gold is the center of that confluence. the timeline here . it s interesting to me. something we ve returned to time in again with reporting on this, largely from you and ryan reilly. it is the kind of logistical processing that this is taken, particularly for that d.c. attorney s office. she was arrested a year ago and was hanging out there, entering a plea. is that timeline typical? ....

The school. i have stresses with school. we try so hard to look for the silver lining. sometimes i think looking for that silver lining can be our downfall because as teachers, like i said, our giving nature, we tend to just take and say that s what s best for our students. the bottom line is what is best for teachers ends up being best for our students. absolutely. we can t be our best without being taken care of and respected. absolutely. there s not a single piece of policy that does not impact the classroom. to see the confluence of these things meet in a volatile way is frightening. i hope it encourages our viewers that they are not alone and good luck to the educators out there doing god s work truly educating our children. thank you so much, becky. i hope to hug you in person ....
