Are so bad right now. reporter: they are very scary is the word i key thinking of when i talk about this because what we have is a confluence of not good situation. fact we did not get enough snow or rain over the winter and that snow pack that hangs up in the sierra mountains is our water supply when it melts off. it melted off very early this year because the temperatures were so high, so early. that also impacts ground water. the dprounds water has not been able to recharge. i know we don t think about the water that s undernooets the ground that we re walking on but it s important as well. all of that is leading to very dry, dry conditions and this drought is being really played out and fact we have this dry, dry ground. we have the heat and the dryness in the ground leads to more heat. this whole circle is continuing here. that s why fire officials are so concerned. you re already seeing some very large fires, complex fires. ....
