Republican Rep. Ron Wright of Texas has died, his congressional office announced in a statement Monday, saying that he had been admitted to the hospital after contracting COVID-19.
U.S. Rep. Ron Wright died Sunday at the age of 67. He had been battling lung cancer and two weeks ago was hospitalized because of COVID-19.
The Texas Republican died after he tested positive for the coronavirus more than two weeks ago. Wright had remained in isolation and was also being treated for cancer.
