A man who appeared in an MTV reality show nearly a decade ago was arrested Thursday on grooming charges after nearly a year of eluding authorities.
A nationwide arrest warrant has been issued for former reality star Connor N. Smith, who appeared on MTV's dating show "Are You The One?"
Connor N. Smith, 32, was actually communicating with a Lake County sheriff’s detective posing as a girl under the age of 15, authorities said.
A defense attorney said she was glad to be able to vindicate the defendant "of these horrible false charges." Prosecutors said the girl wasn't cooperating with law enforcement.
