McKendry on Trial at Bohemians Prague Monday, 1st Apr 2019 19:02 Blues midfielder Conor McKendry, who is set to be released at the end of the season, is on trial with Czech side Bohemians Prague. The 20-year-old Northern Irishman has spent the last week with the Czech top-flight club, who Town beat on their way to the 1980/81 UEFA Cup, and played in a game for a Bohemians side over the weekend. He also watched Tuesday’s international friendly between the Czech Republic and Brazil, which the South Americans won 3-1. McKendry, who spent time on trial at Wigan in January and was on loan at Lowestoft earlier this season, joined Town as a full-time scholar in 2015 having previously been with Glenavon.

Tom Bullard gave the non-league side a half-time lead and although Thomas Hughes equalised for Town, sub Harrison Bacon sent Leiston through to the final with a stoppage-time winner. Webber, 18, has made three appearances for the Iron since the duo joined the Vanarama National League South side in early February. He will now remain with the Essex club until April 7th. Northern Irish U21 call-up McKendry, 19, made one start and two sub appearances while at Cressing Road. Former Worthing youth player Webber, whose father Damien played for Mick McCarthy at Millwall, made his first and so far only senior Town appearance at Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup in August, while one-time Glenavon youngster McKendry is yet to make his first-team debut for the Blues.
