London's River Thames is showing signs of a recovering ecosystem after a recent survey revealed evidence of wildlife, including seahorses, eels and more.
River-borne materials collected from major rivers in Rautahat are being sold from the stock without inspection being carried out by the authorities concerned. Likewise, large stones and boulders are being collected and piled up in areas north to the East-West Highway.
"Every year around 600-700 monuments are identified for taking up structural repairs of special nature on the basis of assessment made at field level. A conservation programme is drawn up after proper identification of items of work and adequate funds provided to carry out the specified works," he said.
Five critically endangered vultures have been released back into the wild following rehabilitation programme.
