Chicago State University on the far South Side is looking to redevelop 95th Street corridor and create a "vibrant university village" in the Roseland neighborhood.

The Chicago State University, one of the prominent American Universities, has locked its X account, previously known as Twitter, after Nigerians called out the institution over issues around the certificate issued to President Bola Tinubu. Founded in 1867 as the Cook County Normal School, the Chicago State University is a predominantly black public university in Chicago, Illinois. It was an innovative teachers college. Eventually the Chicago Public Schools assumed control of the school from the county and it became Chicago Teachers College.
