Going to be a cold night. temperatures falling away to between 11 and 17 during the course of wednesday. the low pressure moves across us, taking its wet and windy conditions with it. the strongest winds again will be across southern areas. the met office has a weather warning out for this. we re looking at gusts up to gale force and across the country will see that rain move steadily northwards and eastwards. some of that could be heavy and also thundery. so the kind of gusts we re looking at, a0 to 50 miles an hour in the southwest and the english channel. but with exposure, that could be a bit higher than that. temperatures 15 to about 21 degrees. but if you re in the wind and you re in the rain, it will feel quite cool. so during wednesday evening and into thursday, that low pressure pulls away. the wind changes direction to more of a northerly component. that in itself is a cool direction for us, and it s also going to pull in showers, especially so in areas adjacent to the wind. ....
