HAGÅTÑA (The Guam Daily Post) — Members of the Guam National Guard working to renovate an apartment facility in Anigua to serve as a homeless shelter resumed work this week
The Guam Housing and Urban Renewal Authority announced the Tamuning Plaza Hotel homeless shelter will remain open through August during the Interagency Council for Coordinating Homelessness Programs meeting Thursday.
The Guam Homeless Coalition will do its annual point-in-time count of Guam’s homeless population 3:30 a.m.-11 p.m. Jan. 27, according to Executive Director Samantha Taitano.
Struggling homeowners can now apply for up to $26,550 in relief funds during the ongoing cycle of the Homeowners Assistance Fund program.
A conference on homelessness, medical outreach and applications for more housing vouchers were the focus during the Interagency Council for Coordinating Homelessness Programs meeting Thursday.
