Census Bureau: More people left New York than any other state

WATERTOWN — The U.S. Census Bureau recently released its annual population estimate that shows New York state lost more residents than any other state last year. But one researcher thinks the estimated population drop may not be as bad as officials are projecting. According to the numbers from the bureau, which are estimated based off data from the 2010 Census, New York state lost more than 126,000 residents between July 1, 2019, and July 1, 2020.
