કોવિડ-19ના નવા કેસ ઘટવા અને અનેક રાજ્યોમાં અનલોક થયા પછી હવે કોરોનાની ત્રીજી લહેર ક્યારે આવશે, તેના વિશે વિજ્ઞાનીઓ અને સામાન્ય જનતામાં ચર્ચા શરૂ થઈ ગઈ છે. રાહતની વાત એ છે કે ભારતમાં વેક્સિનેશને ઝડપ પકડી છે. ગુરૂવાર સુધી 33 કરોડથી વધુ ડોઝ આપી દેવાયા છે. સમગ્ર દેશમાં 20%થી વધુ પુખ્ત વસતી એવી છે જે ઓછામાં ઓછો એક ડોઝ લઈ ચૂકી છે. જ્યારે, 4.3% વસતી સંપૂર્ણપણે વેક્સિનેટ થઈ ચૂકી છે.
વિજ્ઞાનીઓ પણ કહી રહ્યા છે કે ત્રીજી લહેર કેટલી ભયાનક હશે, એ વેક્સિનેશનનું સ્ટેટસ જ નક્કી કરશે. શું વાસ્તવમાં ત્રીજી લહેર આવશે? આવશે તો ક્યારે આવશે? આ લહેર શું બીજી લહેર જેવી જ ભયાનક હશે? આ એવા સવાલ છે, જેના જવાબ શોધવામાં આવી રહ્યા છે. તેના પર ચર્ચા ત્યારે શરૂ થઈ, જ્યારે દિલ્હી-એઈમ્સના ડાયરેક્ટર ડો. રણદીપ ગુલેરિયાએ 19 જૂને કહ્યું કે 6-8 સપ્તાહમાં ત્રીજી લહેર ભારતમાં આવી જશે. આ બીજી લહેરની જેમ ભયાનક હશે. તેમનું આ ફોરકાસ્ટ એક રીતે ચેતવણી હતી કે કોવિડ-19થી બચાવના ઉપાયોને છોડવાના નથી. હાથ ધોવા, સોશિયલ ડિસ્ટન્સિંગ અને સૌથી ખાસ માસ્ક પહેરવું જરૂરી છએ. પરંતુ તેના પછી અલગ-અલગ ફોરમ પર તેના અંગે ચર્ચા છેડાઈ.
શું ત્રીજી લહેર આવશે?
હા, આ અંગે બધા વિશેષજ્ઞ આશ્વસ્ત છે. વાસ્તવમાં મહામારીમાં ત્રીજી, ચોથી, પાંચમી એટલે કે ગમે તેટલી લહેર આવી શકે છે. આવે પણ છે. મહત્વનું એ છે કે આપણે તેનો સામનો કરવા કેટલા તૈયાર છીએ? આ જ કારણથી વેક્સિનેશનની ઝડપ વધારી દેવામાં આવી છે. જેથી ત્રીજી લહેર આવતા પહેલા જ વધુમાં વધુ વસતી વેક્સિનેટ થઈ જાય.
ભારતમાં ત્રીજી લહેરને લઈને 4 સ્ટડી અને ફોરકાસ્ટ આવ્યા છે. આવો જાણીએ કે એ શું કહે છે...
1. ઓક્ટોબરમાં આવશે ત્રીજી લહેરઃ રૉયટર્સ સર્વે

દાવાનો આધારઃ 3થી 17 જૂન વચ્ચે 40 હેલ્થકેર સ્પેશિયાલિસ્ટ, ડોક્ટરો, વિજ્ઞાનીઓ, વાયરોલોજિસ્ટ, એપિડેમિયોલોજિસ્ટ અને પ્રોફેસરો વચ્ચે સર્વે કર્યો. અલગ-અલગ પ્રશ્નો પર તેમના મંતવ્યો જાણ્યા.
શું કહ્યુંઃ મહત્વનું એ છે કે 100% એટલે કે તમામ વિશેષજ્ઞોએ સ્વીકાર્યુ કે ભારતમાં ત્રીજી લહેર આવશે જ. 85%એ કહ્યું કે ઓક્ટોબરમાં ત્રીજી લહેર આવશે. જ્યારે, કેટલાકે ઓગસ્ટ-સપ્ટેમ્બર અને કેટલાકે નવેમ્બર-ફેબ્રુઆરી વચ્ચે ત્રીજી લહેરનું પ્રિડિક્શન આપ્યું. સારી વાત એ છે કે 70% વિશેષજ્ઞોને લાગે છે કે બીજી લહેરના મુકાબલે ત્રીજી લહેર કાબુમાં રહેશે. એ સમયે વેક્સિન, દવાઓ, ઓક્સિજન, હોસ્પિટલ બેડ્સની અછત સર્જાઈ હતી. પરંતુ ત્રીજી લહેરમાં પીક પણ ચાર લાખ સુધી નહીં જાય.
ચેતવણીઃ 65% વિશેષજ્ઞો માને છે કે આ વખતે બાળકો અને અંડર-18 વસતી વધુ રિસ્કમાં રહેશે. જ્યારે એવું ન માનતા લોકોની સંખ્યા 35% રહી. નેશનલ ઈન્સ્ટીટ્યુટ ઓફ મેન્ટલ હેલ્થ એન્ડ ન્યુરોસાયન્સીઝ (NIMHANS)માં એપિડેમિયોલોજી વિભાગના પ્રમુખ ડો. પ્રદીપ બનાંદરકહે છે કે અંડર-18 માટે વેક્સિન ઉપલબ્ધ નથી. એવામાં ત્રીજી લહેરમાં તેઓ જ સૌથી વધુ રિસ્કમાં રહેશે. નારાયણા હેલ્થના કાર્ડિયોલોજિસ્ટ ડો. દેવી શેટ્ટીએ કહ્યું કે જો બાળકો મોટી સંખ્યામાં ઈન્ફેક્ટ થશે તો અમે તેના માટે તૈયાર નથી. અંતિમ ક્ષણોમાં અમારાથી કંઈ થવાનું નથી.
2. ત્રીજી લહેરમાં બાળકોને જોખમ ઓછું, વયસ્કો જ જોખમમાં

દાવાનો આધારઃ સર્વેક્ષણની સાથે 5 રાજ્યોમાં 10 હજારની સેમ્પલ સાઈઝની સાથે સીરોપ્રિવલેન્સ સ્ટડી કરવામાં આવ્યો. 4500 પાર્ટિસિપન્ટ્સનો ડેટા લેવાયો છે. અંતિમ પરિણામો બે કે ત્રણ મહિનામાં આવશે.
શું કહ્યુંઃ ભારતમાં ત્રીજી લહેર આવશે તો તેમાં મોટા બાળકોમાં રિસ્ક બરાબર રહેશે. એવું ન કહી શકાય કે બાળકોને જોખમ વધુ રહેશે. કેટલાક વિસ્તારોમાં તો મોટાઓની તુલનામાં વધુ બાળકોમાં કોરોના વાયરસ વિરુદ્ધ એન્ટીબોડી બની ચૂક્યા છે.
એઈમ્સ-દિ્હીમાં કમ્યુનિટી મેડિસીનના પ્રોફેસર ડો. પુનિત મિશ્રાએ આ સ્ટડીનું નેતૃત્વ કર્યુ. સર્વે કહે છે કે સાઉથ દિલ્હીના શહેરી વિસ્તારોમાં સીરો પોઝિટિવિટી રેટ સૌથી વધુ 74.7% હતો. આ વિસ્તારમાં બીજી લહેરનો ભયાનક માર જોવામાં આવ્યો. તેના કારણે મોટાભાગના લોકોને ખ્યાલ પણ ન આવ્યો અને તેમને કોવિડ-19 ઈન્ફેકશન થઈને ચાલ્યું ગયું. મોટાભાગના લોકો એસિમ્પ્ટોમેટિક રહ્યા હશે.
સર્વે કહે છે કે બાળકોમાં એન્ટીબોડી બની ગયા છે. સ્કૂલો ખોલી પણ દેવાય તો રિસ્ક નહીં હોય. બીજી લહેરમાં એનસીઆર ક્ષેત્રના ફરીદાબાદ (ગ્રામીણ વિસ્તાર)માં સીરો પોઝિટિવિટી રેટ 59.3% (બાળકો-પુખ્તોમાં એક જેવું) જોવા મળ્યો છે. આ આનાથી અગાઉ થયેલા રાષ્ટ્રીય સર્વેના મુકાબલે વધુ છે.
ગ્રામીણ વિસ્તારોમાં ગોરખપુર સૌથી વધુ પ્રભાવિત થયું. તેનો મતલબ એ પણ છે કે અહીં હર્ડ ઈમ્યુનિટી બનવાની સંભાવના વધુ છે. ગોરખપુર ગ્રામીણ વિસ્તારમાં 2-18 વર્ષના ગ્રૂપમાં સીરો પોઝિટિવિટી રેટ 80% મળ્યો છે.
ચેતવણીઃ સર્વેથી ખ્યાલ આવ્યો કે 62.3% ગ્રામીણ વસતી કોવિડ-19થી ઈન્ફેક્ટ થઈ ચૂકી છે. પરંતુ અગરતલા જેવા પૂર્વોત્તરના શહેરોમાં સીરો પોઝિટિવિટી રેટ સૌથી ઓછો (51.9%) મળ્યો છે. એટલે કે એ વિસ્તારોમાં હજુ પણ જોખમ યથાવત્ છે.
3. મહારાષ્ટ્રમાં ત્રીજી લહેર સૌથી ભયાનક હશેઃ કોવિડ ટાસ્ક ફોર્સ

શું કહ્યુંઃ મહારાષ્ટ્રમાં ત્રીજી લહેર 50 લાખ લોકોને ઈન્ફેક્ટ કરી શકે છે. તેમાં પણ 10%થી વધુ એટલે કે 5 લાખથી વધુ બાળકો ઈન્ફેક્ટ થશે. પીક પર એક્ટિવ કેસની સંખ્યા વધીને 8 લાખ સુધી પહોંચી શકે છે.
ટાસ્ક ફોર્સ કહે છે કે આ લહેર સૌથી ભયાનક હશે. બીજી વિનાશકારી લહેરથી પણ ઘાતક. આ ડેલ્ટા પ્લસ વેરિએન્ટના કારણે આવશે, જેનો દેશમાં પ્રથમ કેસ મહારાષ્ટ્રમાં જ મળ્યો હતો. હેલ્થ મિનિસ્ટ્રીમાં જોઈન્ટ સેક્રેટરી લવ અગ્રવાલના અનુસાર જ્યારે વાયરસમાં મ્યુટેશન થાય છે. ત્યારે તેની જીવન શક્તિ વધી જાય છે. જ્યારે અને કેસ હોય છે તો તેના મ્યુટેશનની આશંકા પણ વધુ હોય છે. આપણે અગાઉ પણ જોયું છે અને અત્યારે પણ જોઈ રહ્યા છીએ કે મહારાષ્ટ્રમાં કેસ ઓછા થઈ રહ્યા નથી.
આ ચેતવણી પછી જ રાજ્યમાં લેવલ 3ના પ્રતિબંધ ફરી લાગુ કરી દેવાયા છે. દુકાનો 4 વાગ્યા પછી ખુલી નહીં શકે. જ્યારે લોકડાઉનના કેટલાક નિયમો અમલી કરાયા છે. મોટાભાગના મોટા શહેરોમાં રાતે કોરોના કર્ફ્યુ લગાવાઈ રહ્યો છે.
ચેતવણીઃ મહારાષ્ટ્રના ખાદ્ય અને ઔષધિ મંત્રી રાજેન્દ્ર શૃંગારના અનુસાર 5 લાખ બાળકોમાં 2.5 લાખને હોસ્પિટલમાં દાખલ કરવાની શક્યતા સર્જાઈ શકે છે.
4.15 જુલાઈ સુધી બધા પ્રતિબંધ હટાવી લેવાય તો સપ્ટેમ્બરમાં આવશે ત્રીજી લહેરઃ IIT કાનપુર

દાવાનો આધારઃ ગાણિતીક મોડેલ બનાવ્યું છે. તેમાં કહેવાયું છે કે 15 જુલાઈ સુધી મોબિલિટી પર તમામ પ્રકારના પ્રતિબંધ હટાવી લેવાય તો ત્રણ પરિદૃશ્ય બની શકે છે.
શું કહ્યુંઃ IIT- કાનપુરના વિશેષજ્ઞોએ સસેપ્ટિબલ-ઈન્ફેક્ટેડ-રિકવર્ડ (SIR) મોડેલના આધારે આ પુર્વાનુમાન લગાવ્યા છે. એપિડેમિયોલોજિકલ મોડેલમાં કોવિડ-19થી ઈન્ફેક્ટ થઈ ચૂકેલી વસતીને ટાઈમ સિરિઝ પર સંભવિત ઈન્ફેક્ટેડ લોકોની સંખ્યાનો અંદાજ લગાવાયો છે. બીજી લહેરના ડેટાના આધારે આ મોડેલ બન્યું છે.
પ્રથમ સિનારિયોમાં ત્રીજી લહેરની પીક ઓક્ટોબરમાં આવશે. પીક 3.2 લાખ કેસ પ્રતિદિન હશે. બીજા સિનારિયોમાં નવા અને વધુ ચેપી વેરિએન્ટ્સને ધ્યાનમાં રખાયા છે. એવું માનવામાં આવે છે કે કોઈ પ્રતિબંધ લગાવાશે નહીં, ત્યારે પીક સપ્ટેમ્બરમાં આવી શકે છે. પરંતુ તેમાં દરરોજ 5 લાખ કેસ સુધી આવી શકે છે.
ત્રીજા સિનારિયોમાં અંદાજ લગાવાયો છે કે જો વાયરસના પ્રચારને રોકવા માટે આકરા પ્રતિબંધો લગાવાયા તો શું થશે? આ અંતર્ગત બીજી લહેરના મુકાબલે પીક નબળી હશે પરંતુ એ પણ પ્રથમ લહેરની પીકથી બમણી એટલે કે 2 લાખ ઈન્ફેક્શન પ્રતિદિન સુધી પહોંચશે.
ચેતવણીઃ ત્રણેય સિનારિયોમાં દાવો કરાયો છે કે ત્રીજી લહેર આવશે. તેમાં પીક સપ્ટેમ્બર 2020ની પ્રથમ લહેરના પીકથી બે, ત્રણ કે પાંચ ગણી હશે. પરંતુ રિસર્ચર્સે વેક્સિનેશન કવરેજને ધ્યાનમાં રાખ્યું નથી. આ એક ખામી છે. વિશેષજ્ઞ માને છે કે વેક્સિનેશનનું વધેલું કવરેજ પોઝિટિવ કેસોની ઓછી થતી સંખ્યામાં પણ જોવા મળશે.

Uttar Pradesh on Sunday lifted Covid-19 lockdown restrictions in all districts except Lucknow, Meerut, Saharanpur and Gorakhpur, said ACS Information Navneet Sehgal.
These four districts will remain under the corona curfew as their active cases are above 600, as per Sehgal. The restrictions will be relaxed for the other 71 districts. The curfew will remain in force till the districts are showing more than 600 actives cases.
