NASA's picture of Earendel using the James Webb Space Telescope has taken us 900 years after the Big Bang.
The pic was shared on the Cosmic Spring JWST Twitter handle, which is managed by astronomers who uploaded pics from JWST on August 2.
Named Earendel, after a character in J.R.R. Tolkien's 'Lord of the Rings' prequel 'The Silmarillion', the star is almost 28 billion light-years away from Earth.
