ROCK SPRINGS After much discussion, the Rock Springs City Council decided it did not have the funding available to help Sweetwater County fund the ambulance service and is asking the Sweetwater County Commission to extend its contacts with both ambulance services until June 1, 2021. The Council unanimously approved writing a letter to the commissioners letting them know they would like to continue working together to find a solution for ambulance service funding, however it cannot help fund the service at this time. Rock Springs Mayor Tim Kaumo said he will also ask the Commissioners to extend those contracts to June 2021 to give the organizations more time to try and come up with a short-term funding solution. ....
Monthly bills were presented as $61,950.15. Pay Requests were approved for: FY 2018 LCDBG Rehabilitation of Sewer Crossings in the amount of $11,510.41; Leesville DWRLF Water Improvements in the amount of $1,441.40; and Leesville Site Development Plan Review in the amount of $226.29. In discussing road repairs with City Engineer Mark McCarty, Mayor Allen shared that on McRae Street, the City of New Llano declined pick up their half of the repairs using the contractor who would be on site doing the Leesville side repairs. The Council discussed condemnations on seven properties, most of which were allotted an additional 30-days to either begin repairs or finish the removal of items from the property before the first Council meeting in April. ....
Jersey City Council approves zoning measure to move Morris Canal Manor project forward By Daniel Ulloa/Hudson County View At Monday’s caucus meeting, Lavarro revealed Jersey City received $1 million from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) to reimburse the purchase of the property, which was supposed to be incorporated into Berry Lane Park. Acting Business Administrator John Metro said the dollars remain unspent, adding that the city can work with the DEP to find a comparable project where the money can be used. Jersey City Redevelopment Agency (JCRA) Executive Director Diana Jeffrey said the site, known as Steel Technologies, was always privately owned. ....
