Leesville City Council Accepts $13,000 Grant from the FAA

Monthly bills were presented as $61,950.15.
Pay Requests were approved for:
FY 2018 LCDBG Rehabilitation of Sewer Crossings in the amount of $11,510.41;
Leesville DWRLF Water Improvements in the amount of $1,441.40; and
Leesville Site Development Plan Review in the amount of $226.29.
In discussing road repairs with City Engineer Mark McCarty, Mayor Allen shared that on McRae Street, the City of New Llano declined pick up their half of the repairs using the contractor who would be on site doing the Leesville side repairs.
The Council discussed condemnations on seven properties, most of which were allotted an additional 30-days to either begin repairs or finish the removal of items from the property before the first Council meeting in April. ....

City of Leesville City Council Meeting Monday, January 11, 2021

Leesville City Council met Monday, January 11, 2021, at 3:00 p.m. All members were present.
The Council voted to pay bills in the total amount of $103,731.21 for FY 2018 LCDBG Rehabilitation of Sewer Crossings and 15,070.12 for the Public Works Department â Waste Water Treatment Plant.
City Engineer Mark McCarty reported that the University Parkway project is wrapping up. It is near the end of the warranty period on the raised water tank project, they will be scheduling a one-year inspection. Centerpoint has almost finished their project replacing old gas lines.
Two resolutions were passed: one, authorizing the Mayor to sign and submit applications to the 2020-2021 Community Water Enrichment Fund and Louisiana Government Assistance Program. The second authorizes the City to make a $7500 offer for an empty lot (Parcel 0111333517) at 800 Shade Street, adjacent to the MLK Center. ....
