CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio Craig Cobb will be returning to City Council after his former opponent led the compromise for appointing him to the seat that has remained vacant for more than a year.
“For the sake of the city,” as she put it in making her nomination, Councilwoman Davida Russell broke the log jam, acknowledging that her first two choices out of the four finalists for the appointment would never get the four votes they needed.
“I’m willing to compromise and go against the grain of my own judgment,” Russell said. “I truly believe he needs to run and not be appointed.”
