Alcohol suspected as factor in fatal head-on crash near Nevis
A Hitterdal man died and a Minneapolis man is in critical condition following a head-on collision east of Park Rapids Wednesday afternoon. Both victims were airlifted to Innovis Health Center in Fargo, where Robert L. McGrath, 49, Minneapolis, wa.

Two cars were involved in a head-on collision on Minnesota Highway 34, approximately six miles east of Park Rapids, at about 4 p.m. Wednesday. The Park Rapids Fire Department, Hubbard County Sheriff s Department and Minnesota State Highway Patrol worked to remove one of the accident victims. Traffic was diverted to County Road 80.
