The Webster County Board of Supervisors is seeking a volunteer to serve on the Civil Service Commission.
That three-member commission oversees the testing process for hiring new deputy sheriffs and promotions within the Sheriff’s Department.
To meet the requirement that the commission be balanced between political parties, a Democrat or Independent is wanted.
The application for the post can be found on the county government’s web site at webstercountyia.gov. On the home page, click on departments and select Board of Supervisors to find an application for boards and commissions.
Applications are due by noon on Feb. 23, according to Supervisor Bob Thode. ....
