On-site registration and appointment has now been enabled for the 18-44 years age group on the CoWin platform for COVID-19 vaccination, the Union Health Ministry said on Monday. However, this feature is being enabled only for government COVID Vaccination Centers (CVCs) at present, it said.
This feature will not be available for private CVCs and they will have to publish their vaccination schedules exclusively with slots for online appointments. This feature will be used only upon decision of respective states and UT governments.

KUALA LUMPUR, March 6 — It has been over a week since Malaysia started its National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme on February 24 with the prime minister being the first in the country to take the jab, and about two million people have voluntarily signed up to be vaccinated as of 3pm yesterday.
This represented about 8.6 per cent of Malaysia’s plan to have 23.6 million people vaccinated by February 2022. Also yesterday, a total of 99,616 people in Malaysia have already received their first dose of the vaccine.
