A PLAN to make a disused phone box in Musselburgh ‘blooming marvellous’ is taking shape.
Environment group Love Musselburgh C.I.C is set to give the phone box at Eskside West a new lease of life – as a floral planter.
It will be repainted its original red colour and all the perspex window panels have been removed. BT has also taken away the phone.
Baskets will be put inside and the flowers will be allowed to grow out and over the empty windows.
Melanie Roccio, of Love Musselburgh, said she was inspired to go ahead with the project after seeing a phone box in Tranent that was transformed by the Blooming Belters team. ....
