A POLICE inspector who is currently suspended was granted bail of $200,000 when he appeared before a justice of the peace on Tuesday, charged with obstruction of justice.
David Subero, 48, was arrested on April 6.
He is expected to appear in the Siparia Magistrates’ Court on June 22.
Subero is alleged to have confronted a man who gave a statement to police in relation to an ongoing investigation against Subero. It was also alleged threats were made.
Police said the man refused to give Subero any information and reported the approach to the police.
The Professional Standards Bureau (PSB) investigated and received advice from the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions to lay a charge of obstruction of justice. ....
