The Andover Cultural Council will be holding a public reception for it’s grant recipients 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 30, at the Old Town Hall, 20 Main St.

After a dark year, we’re beginning to see a little light around us. Over these past months, five local artists sought creative inspiration as a guide out of darkness into the light. These painters — Elisabeth Hudgins, Kat Jamieson, Linda Maldonado, Elise Ritter and Deborah Taylor — formed the Arlington-based collaborative, Studio 10 Artists, and met via weekly Zooms to discuss, explore and create a new exhibition entitled “Ambient Light.” “Ambient” light is the atmosphere that surrounds and illuminates any environment.
