St. John Missionary Baptist Church hosted residents of several local assisted living communities on Saturday in their Family Life Center building for a Valentine's Day party. According to church member Wayne Gibson, "through the combined efforts of Shonda Hardiman and Rev. Wayne Crew, we were able to serve over 80 residents of the Community Living Arrangements and Creative Housing III Group Homes and staff." Attendees enjoyed a meal and received gifts and prizes, Gibson added.
