Never a name given. reporter: police thought blake was a suspect in a credit card theft ring. look at this badge, it s in my pocket here. it shows i was a player with the u.s. open. i have nothing to do with whatever you guys are looking for. reporter: blake said he was handcuffed for ten minutes. he doesn t blame racial profiling, but said it was excessive force. it was completely unnecessary, whether i was a criminal or not. reporter: the officer in the video is now on modified duty, awaiting an investigation. he was already facing two pending excessive force lawsuits. when you hear about a history of complaints against this officer, what do you think? it makes me wonder why he was out on the street and given this position to begin with. reporter: both new york mayor bill de blasio and william bratten have apologized and agreed to meet with blake. i m lucky to be in a position i m in. i also talked to a lot of people in the last few days who had similar situations hap ....
