Emerald Fire Brigade is among 170 brigades benefiting from the Ritchies IGA Community Benefit Program. The brigade has received more than $220,000 towards new equipment over the past 28 years thanks to locals nominating them for donations through the Community Benefit Program. Emerald Captain Paul Yandle said, “The ongoing funding and support from Ritchies has allowed us to provide a better level of service to our community by allowing us to invest in new vehicles, which not only helped us in the operational work but also in community education and engagement. “I would like to say a huge thank you on behalf of the Emerald brigade to our local community and the Ritchies program for their continued support. These funds have a positive impact on our brigade and help us to continue to support the community.”
