Veteran RTÉ broadcaster Charlie Bird has died at the age of 74 after losing his tragic battle with motor neurone disease (MND).
The veteran broadcaster had endured a long battle with motor neurone disease.
Charlie Bird wrote that his health had “changed completely” before thanking his neighbours and carers for their support.
Formerly the chief news correspondent at Ireland's national broadcaster, RTÉ, Charlie Bird has died aged 74. Since his diagnosis of motor neurone disease, Charlie Bird had focused on charity work and raising awareness of his condition.
