A Crofton Elementary School student is celebrating breaking a local record for rodeo competition Sunday. According to a news release from CCPS Spokesperson John Rittenhouse, 12-year old Ava Boyd, a sixth-grader at Crofton Elementary, broke the Branham Farms Arena record for the Pole Bending Race at the Kentucky High School Rodeo competition in Scottsville. 3 Vancouver Island schools added to COVID-19 exposure list

  VICTORIA -- Three more schools on Vancouver Island have been added to Island Health’s COVID-19 exposure list. The potential exposures occurred at Crofton Elementary School, Chemainus Secondary School and Bayview Elementary School. At Crofton Elementary, located at 8017 York Ave., Island Health says possible exposures took place on Jan. 25 and Jan. 27.
