Print LUCK, Wis. - MacDonald & Owen Lumber Co. announced it has invested more than half a million in upgrades to improve lead times and capabilities at its St. Croix Wood Components facility in Luck, Wisconsin. The upgrades to the gang rip and glue line include $550,000 in new equipment, including a Mereen-Johnson 525 gang ripsaw which the company says will rip up to 235 feet per minute and allow it to be more diverse in its arbor selection. Also installed will be new James L. Taylor cold clamp carriers which can produce glued panels up to 40 inches wide and 60 stages. “Our goal is to partner with clients and develop value-added solutions for their wood component needs that will last for years to come,” said Justin Briski, director of Sales & Dimensional Products. ....
