Crook County School District made it official last week – all students will be allowed to attend school full time when the second semester begins.
Grades K-3 have attended school full time since the beginning of the school year in early September. Grades 4 and 5 joined them in early October, at the same time that Crook County Middle School and High School allowed students to attend classes two days a week in alternating cohorts.
Jan. 26 will be the first time in 10 months that all public-school students will be allowed to go to school five days a week, and district leaders are thrilled. ....

PRINEVILLE, Ore. (KTVZ) The last time middle and high school students in the Crook County School District saw their peers and teachers on a daily basis was March of last year, before the COVID-19 pandemic closed schools in Oregon.
Ten months later, Crook County Middle School and Crook County High School will switch from the current Blue-Gold hybrid model to full-time on Tuesday, Jan. 26.
“This is a monumental moment for our school district, and we’re one of the first districts in the state to return all students full time,” said Superintendent Dr. Sara Johnson. “Our goal since September was to open our schools and provide in-person instruction, as long as public health experts said it was safe, and our team has proven that it’s possible to serve students successfully during a pan ....
