Thursday, July 27, 2023 - The North Dakota Petroleum Council (NDPC) created the Bakken GROW program with the goal of recruiting legal United for Ukraine (U4U) refugees to fill open oil and natural gas jobs in the Bakken. Homeschool family evolves into a touring band

Jesse and Tracey Paul's five children are homeschool kids. Only two of the five are still "in school". That alone isn't overly unique, but this Michigan family is much different that a typical homeschool family. All members of the family also play in a bluegrass band together, Paul Family Bluegrass. Through the music portion of their curriculum, the family started playing music together. This lead to them eventually playing at local churches. Since those humble beginnings, the family has evolved into a band that tours full-time for half the year. Playing music all across the country has given the Paul children the unique experience of not only learning about different parts of the United States, but actually seeing and exploring those areas as well. ....

Missouri band set to hit the Missouri River Bluegrass Festival stage

Dalton Harper and Ramblin Heart are a bluegrass band from Missouri. They are in North Dakota for the 31st Annual Missouri River Bluegrass Festival this weekend at Cross Ranch State Park. The band started a year ago after Dalton Harper signed a record deal with Skyline Records. He needed to fill out his band, so he called up other musicians that he knew from years of gigging. The group has been playing together since. ....
