The body was found in the evening hours of Wednesday, February 17th on the Crow Reservation.
DNA testing is being conducted to confirm the child s identity to the highest degree of certainty.
A postmortem examination is being conducted by the Montana State Medical Examiner s Office in Billings. The exam began on Thursday, February 18th and is continuing through Friday, February 19th. 
More information will be released when it becomes available. 
The Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office, Big Horn County Coroner, BIA Office of Justice Services, Crow Tribal Prosecutor’s Office, and FBI are further investigating the matter.
