GLADSTONE, Mich. Marlene M. (Ducheny) Sinnaeve, age 83, of Gladstone, died of natural causes on April 10, 2021 at Bishop Noa Home for Senior Citizens after a short illness. She had been living at Bishop Noa in Escanaba since November 2020.
Born July 26, 1937 in Escanaba, MI to Armand and Margaret (Mastdegh) Ducheny of Gladstone. Marlene was raised in Gladstone and was a lifelong resident. In 1955 she graduated from Gladstone Area High School. She also attended All Saints Grade School. After high school Marlene met and married Cyriel (Sonny) Sinnaeve on November 10, 1956, they celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary a year ago last fall.
After high school, Marlene worked at Michigan Bell in Escanaba as a telephone operator. Later she worked for many years at the local neighborhood grocery store Dan’s, which later became Jim’s One Stop. She took a break from working to raise her three children.
