Ashland County Troopers Investigating Serious Injury Crash on I-71
Apr 12, 2021 Montgomery Township – Troopers are investigating a serious injury crash that occurred on Interstate Route 71 southbound near Mile Post 184 on Saturday, April 10, at approximately 0358 hours. A 2017 Hyundai Accent was southbound on Interstate Route 71 when it drove into the center median, striking a 2018 Chevrolet Equinox which was parked on the left shoulder. The driver of the Hyundai, Alexsa Christa Rae Smedly, 22 years old, from Cleveland, Ohio, sustained serious injuries.
